World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade of an item allows players to boost the gear rating of an item by up to 700 points and give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For instance the perfect roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade, and aren't worth it.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats like the chance to crit, attack damage as well as PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. This bonus can sometimes be more than the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.
A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires more Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.
Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is usually a good thing, but it can also have negative consequences. Upgrades can render items impossible to use, unless you are exceptionally lucky.
Items of armor can also be upgraded to increase their performance. For instance, if you have a helm or chest, this will increase its defense base while a belt and gloves will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it could roll back to a lower number.
The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain after upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon receiving 3% of attack damage. However the 3% does not mean that it will strike for 3 times less often, since it is an absolute statistic.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button with circular arrows within the item menu. This will roll an item and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels or bind it to account status.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make all the difference to your survival. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to traverse difficult terrains. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the more health you will get from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, go to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and mastered the fountain in question, you can then talk to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each level will differ. In general, you'll need at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. For instance, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a good-sized group of enemies in most cold environments and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive a full on raid with a few friends.
Be aware that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll want to concentrate on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power when you're a Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you wear for the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock some perks on your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For instance, the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades to the armor on your chest and helmets to let you escape some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, give a temporary effect. There are five kinds of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to enhance their effectiveness. Additionally the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained through crafting them on a table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion used and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI where you can select the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll yield when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you re-use it, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the way potions are used. Splash potions for instance are now available with a time of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds shown on the item hover display. The table for potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be combined in cauldrons. This is the same for using a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the potion and refill the bottle.
Finally, there are simmering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Similar to lingering potions, the can be enhanced by adding redstone to it. The table of potions is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket can be described as a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant such as a trinket. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets unlike other items which can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with gold, tokens, or fragments from rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to purchasing a new trinket. A player can upgrade a trinket with as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the old trinket however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
Once the old Trinkets are no longer usable they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.
In general players should make upgrades to their top-priority items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries and then other gear items that they will not be replacing soon (for example, a ring or cloak). When deciding the items to upgrade, players must also be aware of the class's preferred stats. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players and they want to upgrade their helm, chest and shoulders.
Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they are no longer useful, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it can be salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
